In the past few years, the pier end has been producing bass to 4lb, plaice to 2lb, mackerel (although not in the great numbers I've been expecting) but depending on seasonal weather. (Mostly single mackerel taken on bait) small pollock on feathers, wrasse, the occasional lobster and surprisingly, many black bream. Bream have always been available here, but I have never seen them taken in the numbers or to the sizes that I have seen since 2009. Pier record I believe is 3.2lb currently...
